It’s been great to see England Athletics supporting Mind‘s ‘Time to Talk’ day today, using their ‘runandtalk’ hashtag. The more people talk about mental health, the easier it will be for those of us who find it hard to do so.
Of all the activity I have seen promoted today, it was this post from ‘Lexi Runs’ that resonated with me the most. Written about her experiences both running and volunteering at parkrun, she gives a clear, articulate insight to the benefits of being part of this growing running community on her mental health. As I’ve said on my own parkrun page, for improving physical and mental health, parkrun rocks!
