‘Depressive illness: the curse of the strong’ by Dr Tim Cantopher – this is the book that helped it all make sense; on every page, something made me exclaim “That’s me!” Like many, I’d always assumed that it was ‘weak’ people that broke down, but Dr Cantopher’s words made me realise that the opposite is in fact true. Easy to read (a little at a time due to my very limited concentration span at the time), I found it full of real examples and practical advice.
